What's Up With That?
Hey people! Call off the search, or in some case, the parties, I'm still alive! My sleep deprived fingers have found time to latch onto a word or three.
Now back to where I left off, which would be October/Novemberish? I phrase that as a question as I've forgotten myself. Haven't posted here in a good while, call it a sudden lack of interest, or perhaps boredom. Either way, for most of the time I just couldn't be bothered to post any new stuff. Don't take this as abandonment, oh no my friends, more of a notice for my future lack of activity. I still find the time to do a lot of browsing but these days I don't have the time or energy to comment, and I'm sure you don't want to only hear "Well that's something!" from me every month or so. I've gone into the stage of just browsing to appreciate good art and good images. I still fav things quite a lot, but for those people who believe "comment before you fav" can quite frankly shove that phrase up their ass. We don't have any fucking time to comment! You will be content with your favs you comment grabbing mice! Don't put this down to a fit of laziness combined with arrogance, I'm still here, but you just won't hear from me, unless I can be bothered to become a part of this "community" once again. Think of me as if I was always looking over your shoulder, giving a long look at an image and giving a silent nod in appreciation. And of course as you can't see me nodding, then it's hard to see if I'm doing it at all, which leads me back to the whole inactivity part.
I will be posting a whole load of new work sometime soon. Is that a gasp and a muffled cheer I hear? It better had been! When I say a load, I mean lots, like 10+ pieces, maybe once a week.
Anyway, moving on, did everyone enjoy their Christmas? What about the New Year? Both times which I meant to pop on and write a quick merry whatever to everyone then get back to whatever, but that went out the window pretty quick. Consider it a miracle if this journal actually makes it.
It was a pretty decent xmas all in all. No real down parts and I earnt a lovely £200+ from photography the fortnight before, which I then spent on some new walking boots and soon to order a new external flash unit. I'll get onto where this money came from in a bit, but now onto new years! To be fair, it wasn't a good one at all, sadly our most cherished dog pashed away around lunch time which put a damper on the whole day, but otherwise it was ok, nothing to rave about.
Now onto the money, most of it came from the farmer's weekly magazine. 2 published images around the November period then getting the cover of the first December issue. It was great to get my first cover image complete with name and £100. I may or may not post an image below of the actual cover, I don't know if I can be bothered to host it anywhere.
