Another shot that isnt a land/waterscape im afraid. Haven't had the weather to be able to shoot much out doors and when it does stop raining its normally dull and grey.
Never the less its given my opportunity to try out some other ideas. Some old ideas mixed with new techniques, mixing the thoughts of old with the skills of new.
I must admit setting fire to dandelions and then shooting the after effects is one of my favourite subject matters. You never know how the flames will spread across the fluffy parachutes. Photographs of regular dandelions almost seem cliché to me. So i like to mix normal items with new ways to boost the interest.
After having a fairly long un-inspirational time i think its now coming back to me. But alas it seems like everything i shoot is not good enough and most never get used. Need to ease off the perfectionist attitude.
Anyway i hope you enjoy this one. Toasted silk poors from the plants crippled head.

great EYEdea, you have struck something inside me
that makes me want to take better photos, sometimes i to get stuck in a rut. and its all in the way we LOOK at things. Agian , great capture
Too Dark? The histogram relays no pure black areas, doesnt look "dark" to me at all, but on my old monitor it looks dark because of the contrast, but to each his own.
Wow ! You dandelion Arsonist, you made quite a strong photo with a very simple thing ! I say strong because I feel drama looking at it...It has something of a profanation, the way it consumes itself in an inexorable way. You've just captured destruction, death an all the fascination it brings. Very good work !

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
And a large group of professionals built the Titanic.
